The Chevrolet Suburban comes with a single engine option, a wonderful 5.3-liter V8. This engine provides 255 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The V8 is also matched with a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also uses direct fuel injection and active cylinder management to help increase the overall fuel economy. In the two-wheel drive option, the Suburban can tow a maximum of 8,300 pounds. Under the optional four-wheel drive, the maximum tow capacity is at 8,000 pounds.
