What type of engine is available?
The first engine option is the 5.3-liter V8. This engine comes with a dynamic fuel management system to help save on the fuel economy. The dynamic fuel management system is also found on the next engine. This 6.2-liter V8 and the third engine, the brand-new Duramax 3-liter inline-6 engine both come with a ten-speed hydramatic transmission. This transmission is paired with stop/start technology to even further improve the fuel economy. Each engine comes with two transmission choices, given an overall six total options for transmission/engine combination. The performance, value, and efficiency levels are all different to help provide for the various trim levels in different manners. What features are available with which trim?
Many new trim levels have been added for the 2019 lineup. In order to better meet the wants of the feedback received during their study, the Silverado has split their trim levels into three sections and has made the various trims a little more specific on what they offer. The High Value trims include the Work Truck, Custom, and the new Custom Trail Boss. The High Volume trims would be the LT, the new RST, and the new LT Trail Boss.
